749 years B.C., Isaiah 7:14 tells us a virgin shall conceive and bare a son and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6 tells us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace.

Isaiah 40:3, the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord make straight in the desert a highway for our God. He was speaking of John the Baptist.

(St. Matthew 3:3) Jesus speaks of John the Baptist in St. Luke 4:28. “For I say unto you, among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist.”

John the Baptist was preaching in the wilderness of Judea saying, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire” (St. Matthew 3:1-11).

Please note that Jesus had not been baptized yet, nor had he called any of his disciples because Jesus had not started preaching yet. So John the Baptist saying that he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire, was saying that to all who would believe, the “doctrine” that he and Jesus would be preaching.

In Isaiah 28:9 in reference to the Holy Ghost, the question is asked, “Whom shall he teach knowledge, and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?”

In verses 11-12, he said, “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, this is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest, and this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear.”

In St. John 14:26 Jesus said, “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you.”

(Acts 1:4) Jesus commanded his disciples that they should not depart from Jerusalem but “Wait for the promise of the Father” verse 5 “For John truly baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”

Jesus said (Acts 1:8), “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.”

(Acts 1:14) There were people in the upper room including women and Mary the mother of Jesus in verse 15 Peter said there were about 120 people there in the upper room.

(Acts 2:4) “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.” Remember some 700 years B.C. Isaiah said (Isaiah 28:11) “with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.”

(Acts 2:6) People that heard what was going on came and heard these people speaking in their language, “some sixteen different languages listed.” Peter got up and explained in, (Acts 2:16) but this is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel in (Joel 2:28). Peter went on to say in (Acts 2:38-39), he told everyone to repent and to be baptized in Jesus name and they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

“For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” (1st Peter 3:21).

The like figure where unto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(1st Peter 1:16) Because it is written, “Be ye holy, for I am holy,” also (Leviticus 11:44) also in verse 17 he says we will all be judged every man according to his work.

The Apostle Paul said in (Romans 6:12) “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer there in?”

God’s people are a chosen generation, a holy nation and a peculiar people he has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.

(1st Peter 2:9) The Apostle Peter talking to the wives, said whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold or of putting on of apparel.

In 1st Corinthians 11:14, it is a shame for man to have long hair, the next verse a woman with long hair it is a glory to her. It is given her for a covering.

The Apostle Paul said in 1st Timothy 2:9, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modes apparel, with shame-facedness and sobriety, not with braided hair of gold, or pearls, or costly array.”

(Deuteronomy 22:5) “The women shall not wear that which pretaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment for all that do so are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

The Apostle Paul said in (Hebrews 13:9) “Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrine for it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace.”

(Jeremiah 32:39) and I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them.

(Ephesians 4:5) One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. (Psalm 119:128) I hate every false way.
