Six students from Decatur County were recently recognized by Darton College in Albany, Ga., for their exceptional grades during the Fall semester of 2008. Five students, Sherrell L. Fountain of Whigham; Melissa P. Anderson, Tammy R. Fletcher and Jennifer D. Powell, all of Bainbridge; and Chadrick W. Whiddon of Climax, were placed on the college’s merit list. To qualify for the list, students must be part time and have earned a 3.4 or higher grade point average. Qualifying for the dean’s list at the college were Shannon N. Wright of Bainbridge and Lacey R. Addison of Brinson. To qualify for the list, students must be full time and have earned a 3.4 grade point average or higher.
