Reynolds, a first team All-Region 1-AAAA selection by the Region coaches, is 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds. He had 27 pancake blocks.

His first-team All-Region 1-AAAA selection and selection to play in the Boarder Wars game are the third and fourth major honors Reynolds has received recently for his athletic and academic achievements.

Reynolds, who is also a heavyweight champion on the Bearcats wrestling team, was recently featured in a players spotlight with his picture on the cover of “In the Game,” a South Georgia high school sports magazine.

He was also recently named a Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete for the Southwest Georgia Region.

He and Hall of Fame Scholar Athletes from other areas of the state are being honored this week in Atlanta in conjunction with tonight’s Chick-fil-A Bowl game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Louisiana State University Tigers at the Georgia Dome.

Henry, a second team All-Region 1-AAAA defensive back, is a 5-foot-9, 171-pound free safety who led the Bearcats in tackles with 70. He had four tackles for losses, one forced fumble, seven special teams tackles, one interception and five pass breakups.

Hughes, an inside linebacker, was third on the team in tackles with 57. He had six tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.
