West Bainbridge Elementary Flag Committee students Lee Glisson and Ryan Grubbs lower the American and Georgia flags recently from the school’s flag pole. Before beginning their duties as Flag Committee members, which includes raising and lowering the flags each morning and afternoon, they are trained by Troy Thomas on the proper handling, displaying and folding of the flags. They are instructed by Belinda Ingram, counselor, on flag etiquette and what the American flag represents and how to honor this country’s and state’s symbol.
