Despite some bus problems, the Bainbridge High School Marching Band’s trip to Philadelphia went great, said Band Director Paschal Ward.
“After our bus problems, which involved getting another bus being sent to us outside of Perry, the trip went great. Everyone on the trip did a fantastic job of keeping up with our busy pace,” Ward said Tuesday.
Approximately 326 students and chaperons traveled to Philadelphia for that city’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and also New York City and Washington, D.C.
“Students will never forget all of the wonderful sights and sounds of the big cities we were in,” Ward said.
“The parade allowed our students the opportunity to perform for more than 600,000 spectators,” Ward said. “I am extremely proud of all of our students whose manners, playing and performance were simply the best. One could not ask to be associated with such fine young people and the adults that accompanied them.
