Leader has 48.02 pounds

Johnny Patterson of Grant, Ala., pulled in 48.02. pounds of bass Thursday and Friday to take the lead in the boater division going into today’s final day of the three-day Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League (BFL) Regional Championship Tournament on Lake Seminole.

Jett Loach of Rossville, Ga., was leading the co-angler division going into today’s final day of competition with a two-day catch of 23 pounds.

Only the final 12 boaters and co-anglers will fish today. The tournament started with 134 boaters and co-anglers. Final weigh-in will be at Wal-Mart beginning at 4 p.m.

Bryan Gregory of Fort Payne, Ala., and Edward Gettys of Scottsboro, Ala., are second and third in the boater division going into today with catches of 40.14 pounds and 40.05 pounds.

Second and third in the co-angler division are Robert Whitus of Disputanta, Va., with 17.09 pounds, and Jade Keeton of Florence, Ala., with 16.05 pounds.

Fourth and fifth places in the boater division were being held down today by Corey Bradley of Chattanooga, Tenn., with 30.15 pounds, and John Pearson of Perry, Ga., with 28.08 pounds.

Final weigh-in will be today, Saturday, at 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart on U.S. 27 South.
