Georgia DOT announces Dothan Road detour

The Georgia Department of Transportation will detour traffic along part of Dothan Road in West Bainbridge starting on Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 a.m. and continuing through Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
CSX Railroad has scheduled crews to refurbish the railroad crossing on Dothan Road (also known as U.S. 27/S.R. 1 Business) near Dollar Farm Products. The project includes the installation of concrete panels at the railroad crossing.
The detour routes will be marked as follows:
• Motorists traveling northwest along Dothan Road will be detoured right (north) onto Georgia 253/Newton Road; then turn left (west) onto Bethel Road; then turn left (south) onto North Miller Avenue back to Dothan Road.
• Motorists traveling southeast along Dothan Road will be detoured left (north) onto North Miller Avenue; then turn right (east) onto Bethel Road; then turn right (south) onto Georgia 253/Newton Road back to Dothan Road.
