Disappointed in you on Flag Day

Published Friday, June 19, 2009

Come on people, we are not a Muslim country. We are proud, free Americans.

Sunday, June 14, was Flag Day in the United States. As I drove around town, I observed very few American flags on display—there were some, the usual patriots proudly flying the red, white and blue old glory.

What the hell is this country coming to? After 9/11, 80 percent of Americans were displaying flags, banners, bumper stickers, etc.—today, very, very few—how soon we forget—it could happen again.

Show your support to your country, and the members of the armed forces that have kept this country free.

Respectfully,

Mike Hollaway

Because Muslims are neither proud nor patriotic? That is an unfair representation of an entire world religion. Please be respectful in your posts and find some other way to chastise people for what you see to be a lack of patriotism.

Mr Hollaway,
First let me thank you for your service to this great country, in which , by the grace of GOD above we were born.
I too was disappointed in the show of respect for our flag.I guess, most people are too busy trying to be politically correct, and waiting for the next government bailout, to appreciate what they have been blessed with.
