Restaurant Inspections

Environmental Health Specialist IV Ansley Johnson, EHS III Hope Broxton or EHS II Spence Gibbs, of the Decatur County Public Health Department, conducted nine restaurant and food service inspections from June 23 to June 29, 2009.

All major discrepancies are corrected before the health inspector leaves the premises.

Under new inspection system with 100 as the highest score, restaurants are rated: A= 90-100; B= 80-89; C= 70-79; U= Less than 69. Code 999 signifies a restaurant has had an “informal inspection.” Code 998 is a follow-up inspection.

The facilities inspected were:

• American Pie Pizza at Ernie’s Cafe, 2500 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, 80—B

• Bean Around The World, 101 E. Water St., Bainbridge, 95—A

• Beef O’Brady’s, 1408 Tallahassee Hwy., 83—B

• Decatur County Senior Center, 402 W. Water St., Bainbridge, 97—A

• Grandma’s Kitchen, 1037 Faceville Hwy., Bainbridge, 95—A

• McDonalds, 1501 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, 86—B

• Riverbend Seafood, 1615 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, 82—B

• Yuki Express, 2007 Frontage Road, Bainbridge, 95—A

• Zaxby’s Restaurant, 1404 Tallahassee Hwy., Bainbridge, 92—A
