Landing in a lunker

Published Friday, July 3, 2009

Robert Gainer, right, and his son, Devonte Gainer, left, stand with a 56-pound grass carp they caught at the Earle May Boat Basin on June 29. It took more than 45 minutes for them to bring the fish to shore, and they finally used a rope attached to a truck to land the massive fish when all other efforts were exhausted. They caught the fish using a rod and reel with chicken livers and worms as bait.

Lol, this story is so hilarious, simple fact being, my brother, Scott, caught this fish and carried it back. I have pictures and video to prove that....He gave that fish to the Father listed in the picture above, and the man stated that he was going to give the fish to his uncle. Scott felt bad for the man b/c he stated how he had just lost his factory job. Why is it people lie to make themselves look better. He did something out of the kindness of his heart, and folks go around and lie about it.
