Decatur County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Brinson woman after a stabbing led to their discovery of a methamphetamine lab at her home.
On Wednesday, April 29, Major Wendell Cofer responded to a report of a stabbing victim, Joseph Curls of Pelham, Ga., who came into the Donalsonville Hospital Emergency Room.
Curls and Pamela Renee Sandifer, 45, of 333 Josey Lane in Brinson, told police they went to a store in Brinson at around 2 a.m. at the request of Edward Earl Chambers, 51, of 149 Gail Drive in Bainbridge. According to Curls and Sandifer, Chambers had told them he was having car troubles. The two stated when they arrived, Chambers stabbed Curls in the back—as a result of an argument.
According to incident reports, Cofer went to the location and was unable to locate blood or other evidence that would corroborate their claim of where the stabbing occurred.
Investigators then went to Sandifer’s home in Brinson where they located evidence that led them to believe that was where the stabbing actually occurred, according to the report. Consent was received to further search the home and investigators located an active methamphetamine lab, approximately five grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Sandifer was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Investigators are still actively seeking Chambers.
