Published Friday, April 10, 2009

AT&T recently announced an extensive expansion of wireless coverage in South Georgia.

The network expansion, based around the City of Bainbridge, includes the activation of more than 25 new cell site locations providing more than 800 square miles of new wireless coverage to the area.

The expansion also covers Lake Seminole, and connects wireless coverage in Seminole and Decatur counties to the Dothan, Ala., Thomas County and the cities of Chattahoochee, Quincy and Havana in the south along Highway 27.

“Our mission is to connect people where they live and work and do it better than anyone else,” said Courtney Brinson, regional manager, AT&T external and legislative affairs.
