Funeral services for Helen L. Brown of Climax, Ga., will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 a 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary First Born Church, 417 East Broad Street, Climax, with Junior Bishop Earl O. Germany, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at Flea Town Cemetery, Climax.

Helen Brown, the daughter of the late Otis Douglas Sr. and Zeudia B. Douglas, was born in Decatur County, Georgia on January 6, 1944. She received her education in the public school system and was a graduate of Hutto High School in Bainbridge, Ga. Helen worked in the healthcare industry for over 26 years.

On January 14, 2017, Helen Louise Brown was called to her eternal home. Survivors are: husband, Gohnell Brown Sr., Climax; son, Gohnell Brown Jr. (Ellen King), St. Mary, Ga.; brothers, L.C. Douglas Sr. (Emma) Climax, Ga.; brothers, Otis Douglas Jr., Leesburg, Fla., Bradley Douglas, Thomasville, Ga.; sisters, Joyce (Charles Sr.) Wimberly, Hawkinsville, Ga., Selessia (George) Berry, Columbus, Ga.; four grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,
