Mr. Danny Buford Kelly Sr., age 69, of Whigham, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Services for Mr. Kelly were held at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 3 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017. An interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery.   Pastor Mack Luke will be officiating. Brandon Johnson, Chris Porter, Andy Joyner, Craig Wilson, Ronnie Kelly and Donnie Kelly will serve as pallbearers.   The family received friends at Cox Funeral Home, Sunday, January 8, 2017, 3-5 p.m.

Danny Buford Kelly was born September 19, 1947, in Climax, Georgia. His parents, Emitt Kelly and Odessar Clinton Kelly, have both preceded him in death. Danny was a skilled millwright and welder. He was a hard worker and worked all his life in many areas of construction. Mr. Kelly was a member of New Growth Baptist Church. He loved to be outside. Danny loved to plant and garden. He was a generous man, always wanting to help others. Danny Kelly loved to fish. Another enjoyment was watching wrestling and western movies. Mostly he loved his family. He loved each and every member of his large clan. Danny Buford Kelly, Sr. will be greatly missed by his many, many family members and friends.

Danny Buford Kelly Sr. is survived by his life partner, Jan Kelly of Whigham; children, Lisa Wilson and husband, Craig of Bainbridge, Melinda Joyner and husband, Andy of Whigham, and Amy Porter and husband, Chris of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Hannah Wilson, Madison Poitevint, Nicole Cromer, Abigail Porter, Danielle Kelly, Heather Kelly, and Jessica Kelly; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Emitt Kelly, Gary Kelly and Tammy Brock, all of Climax, Georgia, Catherine Phillips, Kaye Howell, Calvin Kelly, Oscar Kelly, Ronnie Kelly, Donnie Kelly, all of Bainbridge, Jimmie Anderson of Pelham, Georgia, Lucia Walls of Cumming, Georgia, and Judy Vaughn of Congress, Arizona; and many, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny (Buck) Buford Kelly, Jr.
