James Emmett Davis, Jr., 51, of Cotton, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at
Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.  Rev. Larry Wynn
will officiate.
Born April 9, 1965, in Mitchell County, Mr. Davis was the son of James
Emmett Davis, Sr. and the late Mildred Fowler Davis.  He was a member of
Lake Pleasant Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of Deacons.  Mr.
Davis previously worked for Nabisco for 10 years, and presently worked as
Sales District Lead for Pepsi Bottling Co. of Bainbridge.  He was preceded
in death by his father-in-law, Marcus Collins and a brother-in-law, Jim
Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Collins Davis of Cotton; a son, James
Emmett “Jamie” Davis, III of Cotton;  a daughter, Alexis Ann “Lexie” Davis
of Cotton;  his father, James Emmett Davis, Sr. of Cotton;  a sister,
Wanda Davis Sowell & husband, Ralph, of Meigs;  mother-in-law, Elizabeth
Collins of Cotton;  two brothers-in-law, Marc Collins & wife, Rosa, of
Cotton and Al Collins & wife, Peggy of Cotton;  two sisters-in-law, Ann
Ragan & husband, Larry, of Smiths, Ala. and Jenni Smith & husband, Tim, of
Cotton;  and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Monday, June 27 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.
