Mrs. Gunn was born September 12, 1927 in Gretna, FL, the daughter of Robert Hugh Faircloth and Mary Jane Shepard Faircloth. She worked for many years, eventually retiring from Jack Winter Inc. Margie cared deeply for her community, her neighbors and was always willing to lend a helping hand. When her health permitted she was an active member of the Attapulgus Community Club. Mrs. Gunn loved her church and church family at Attapulgus Church of God. She adored her family as much as they adored her trademark smile. Margie was a huge fan of southern gospel music. In Attapulgus she was known as a great cook and everyone delighted in sharing her banana pudding.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Gunn and his wife, Vickie, of Ashburn, GA and Lisa Gunn Chavis of Attapulgus, GA; her brother, Marvin Faircloth and his wife, Carol, of Apopka, FL; her eight grandchildren; and her eighteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gunn; her son, Mike Gunn; her siblings, Pete Faircloth, Ralph Faircloth, Paul Faircloth, Juanita Smith, Quida Jordon, and Shirley Gardner; and her special friend, Elmer Boyett.

The family would like to thank Porchia Boyett and Bainbridge Health Care & Rehabilitation for the loving care provided to Mrs. Gunn.
