Funeral services for Alvada Green Chandler, 69, of the McRaeville Community will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11 am at Emanuel M.B. Church,161 Emanuel Church Rd, Bainbridge, Georgia (Fowlstown Community). Rev. John Thomas, Sr.,Pastor. Pastor S.L. Phillips Officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Chandler’s Funeral Home, 7775 Tallahassee Hwy., Attapulgus, Georgia. There will be no viewing on Tuesday.

Mrs. Chandler was born August 19, 1946 in Faceville, Georgia, to the late Richard and Louzena Akins Green. She died Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

She was a 1964 graduate of Attapulgus Mt. Moriah High School and she attended Fort Valley State College (University). She retired from the State of Florida after 35 years of service. She was a member of Emanuel M.B. Church where she served as a Deaconess, a Missionary (past President), and a Senior Choir member. She served as President of the North Florida Singing Convention and was a member of the Pride of Bainbridge Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #479.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her husband Paul Chandler, Jr., McRaeville Community; one son, Mario G. Chandler (Antoinette), Byron, Georgia; two daughters, Dr. Saroyi (Robert) Morris, Brunswick, Georgia and LaQuita R. Chandler, McRaeville Community; two beloved grandsons, Bryce J.C. Morris and Timothy A. Chandler; three brothers, Lonnie J. Green of Pontiac, Michigan, and Richard H. Green (Retha) and Ronald L. Green of Bainbridge; two sisters, Dr. Brenda G. Whittenberg and Linda B. Green of Tallahassee; a sister-in-law, Aradeen Green of Pontiac, Michigan; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Chandler’s Funeral Home, Inc. of Attapulgus, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
