Jackie Glen Lovering

     Mr. Glen Lovering, 76, of Colquitt, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at his residence.  Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Oswalt and Nolan Lovering officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery with Adrian Lovering, Kevin Lovering, Eric Lovering, Michael Lovering, Ronnie Lovering, and Seth Jenkins serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Lovering was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church and was a maintenance supervisor at Southwest Georgia Academy.

He is survived by his wife, Vonnie Lovering of Colquitt; two sons, David (Mel) Lovering of Bainbridge, and Les (Cindy) Lovering of Colquitt; three daughters, Kelly (Tim) Ray of Bainbridge, Jackie (Wesley) Whitaker of Colquitt, and Kristi (Alan) Jenkins of Colquitt; 13 grandchildren, Zacary Lovering, Nolan Lovering, Josh Whitaker, Megan Whitaker, Zac Whitaker, Seth Jenkins, Shelby Jenkins, Sarah Jenkins, Sully Jenkins, Selena Jenkins, Shepherd Jenkins, Salli Jenkins, and Sybil Jenkins; two great-grandchildren, Drew Herring and Westin Whitaker; one brother, Ray (Nell) Lovering of Colquitt; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Lovering was preceded in death by his parents, Idus and Lizzie B. Lovering, and four brothers, Buford Burch, Willis Lovering, James W. Lovering, and Horace Lovering.

Flowers will be accepted, or donation may be made to the Colquitt First Baptist Church Building Fund at 351 E. Pine Street, Colquitt, GA 39837.
