The Decatur County Farm Bureau would like to congratulate its 2016 Essay Contest Winners.

The Essay Contest was open to all sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students in Decatur County. This year’s topic was to write a persuasive essay, showing how modern agriculture has adopted the use of technology to sustain and improve resources while increasing food supplies.

This year winners were Daniel Sellers, the first Place Winner of $100 dollars, Kenny Clark, the second place winner of $75 dollars, and Blake Lowe, the third place winner of $50 dollars. Farm Bureau would like to thank the students and teachers who participated in the Essay Contest.

The Decatur County Farm Bureau would also like to congratulate its 2016 Art Contest Winners. The Art contest as open to all ninth through 12th grade students in Decatur County.

This year’s winners were Iris Malone, the First Place winner of $100 dollars, Chakil Murphy, the Second Place winner of $75 dollars, and Will Kirkland, the Third Place Winer of $50 dollars.

Thank you to all the students who participated in the Art Contest and for Mrs. Rebecca Cole at Bainbridge High School for promoting the contest with her Art Class.
