William R. “Billy” Wilson, 58, of Bainbridge, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Bainbridge Health Care.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Mr. Wilson was born July 22, 1957 in Vicksburg, Miss, the son of Cecil O. Wilson and Gertrude Elizabeth Sanders Wilson. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1975. Mr. Wilson liked music, fishing, football, NASCAR, Horse Racing, but most of all he liked hanging out with friends at the creek. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his siblings, Jerry Wilson and his wife, Lu, of Stockbridge, Ga., Tommy Wilson and his wife, Jeanette, of Utica, Miss., Penny Wilson of Cairo, Ga., Kathy Slaughter and her husband, Tony, of Mexico Beach, Fla., Gary Wilson and his wife, Kelley, of Maryville, Tenn. and a host of nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
