“It’s a great opportunity for the public to interact with law enforcement and to have fun at the same time,” said Kids ‘n Kops volunteer Julie Harris. “The weather is supposed to be beautiful Saturday, and there’s going to be lots of activities and free food.”

Participants and partners include: Bainbridge Public Safety, Bainbridge Leisure Services, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Life Flight, Georgia State Patrol, Gold Star Ambulance, Decatur County EMS, Home Depot, Salvation Army and Midnight Riders Horse Club.

Bainbridge-Decatur County Kids ‘n Kops aims to foster positive relationships between public safety officers and members of the community by creating a positive image of police in the eyes of children.

Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers will be permitted at the event, but no alcohol or pets will be allowed.
