Lamar Corbin Pollock Sr.

Funeral services for Lamar Corbin Pollock Sr., of Pelham, will be held Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Fist Baptist Church of Pelham, with interment in Union Grove Cemetery. Rev. Matt Peek and Rev. Lynn Roberts will officiate.

Born May 7, 1937 in Mitchell County, Ga., he was the son of the late Charlie Emerson Pollock and Delma Corbin Pollock. Mr. Pollock was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Pelham Masonic Lodge, Boys Scouts of America, Sons of the Confederacy and Pelham Touchdown Club.

He is survived by his wife, Lena Howard Pollock; sons, Lamar Corbin Pollock Jr. (Brenda) of Bainbridge, Ronald Barry Pollock (Susie) of Thomasville; one daughter, Pam Herring (Jimbo) of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Tiffany and Josiah Adams of Roswell, Ga., Stephen Craun of New York, James (Courtney) Herring of Woodbine, Ga., Ashley Craun of Tallahassee, Riley and Dana Pollock of Thomasville; sisters Frances Warren of Pelham, Opel (David) Wright of Sharon, Penn., Gloria (Glenwood) Anderson of Pelham, Janice (Tad) Williamson of Pelham and Charlotte White of Pelham; stepsons, Bob Coleman of Moultrie, Ga., Ken (Debbie) Coleman of Hartsfield; step-granddaughter Hannah of Moultrie and McKenlee Coleman of Hartsfield; step-grandsons, Heath (Amy) Hutto of Panama City Beach, Fla. and a stepdaughter Heather Hutto of Dallas, Texas; great-grandsons Asa, Phoenix and Ezra Adams of Roswell, Tripp Herring of Woodbine, and Jerimiah Ray Craun and Kenny Smith of Tallahassee.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carleen Strickland Pollock, his parents Charlie Emerson Pollock and mother, Delma Corbin Pollock; brothers Charlie Emerson Pollock Jr., “Sam”, Harold Phillip Pollock and a step-son Ricky Coleman.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Pollock, Les Pollock, Blaine Brinkley, Jimmy Anderson, Darrell Warren and Ferrell Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be the Decons of First Baptist Church.
