Coach Gina Conley’s Bainbridge Middle School Lady Cats and Bearcats cross-country teams turned in strong performances Tuesday at the Region Championship Meet at Kolomoki Mounds State Park.
The top five Lady Cats runners were Vivian Schuyler, who placed fifth overall, Sandy Baker, Anna Marie Hall, Piper Harrell and Nyla Dumas. The top four Bearcats runners were Stokes Moore, who placed second overall, Aiden Matthews, Ashton Matthews and Jackson Conley.
Coach Conley said her team tuned up for the Region Championship Meet with a strong performance at the Saturday, Sept. 26 Bearcat Invitational Meet. Her top five Lady Cats runners were Viviana Schuyler, Sandy Baker, Brittany Tomlinson, Piper Harrell and Nyla Dumas. Her top five Bearcats runners were Stokes Moore, who placed fourth overall, Joe Emmons, Aiden Matthews, Jonathan Farringame and Ashton Matthews.
At the Lee County Lady Trojans and Trojans Invitational Meet in Leesburg, the Bainbridge Middle School Lady Cats and Bearcats had to endure a muddy course. The top five Lady Cats runners were Viviana Schuler, Sandy Baker, Piper Harrell, Anna Marie Hall and Nyla Dumas. The top five Bearcats runners were Stokes Moore, Joe Emmons, Jonathan Farrington, Aiden Matthews and Jackson Conley.
The Bainbridge Middle School Lady Cats and Bearcats also turned in strong performances at the Godby Middle School and High School High School Cougar Challenge in Tallahassee. At the Pelham Middle School Lady Hornets and Hornets cross-country meet the Bearcats finished third overall. Their top five Bearcats runners were Stokes Moore, who placed third overall, Jackson Conley, Joe Emmons, Aiden Matthews and Jonathan Farrington. The top five Lady Cats runners were Sandy Baker, Viviana Schuyler, Ivy Christopher, Anna Marie Hall and Brittany Tomlinson.
