A three-vehicle wreck on U.S. 27 South near Attapulgus resulted in a helicopter transporting someone to Tallahassee Friday afternoon around 4 p.m.

A red Chevy Camaro was traveling west across U.S. 27 and did not yield as he crossed the highway, a Georgia State Trooper said.

A Tahoe hit the Camaro. Behind the Tahoe, an 18-wheeler attempted to stop but rear-ended the vehicle.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and Decatur County Fire and Rescue Department used a hydraulic cutting tool to remove the driver of the Camaro from inside the vehicle.

The drivers in the Tahoe and 18-wheeler suffered minor injuries, the trooper said.
