Martha Griffin “Sug” Reynolds, 79, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mosley and Rev. Stephen Webb officiating. Private interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds was born November 27, 1935 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Edward Glenn Griffin and Anna Grace Baggs Griffin. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Reynolds was the First Lady and ambassador for the City of Bainbridge for 37 years. She loved to work in the yard and her dog Charlie Brown. Sug loved the “ladies retreat” and the Lunch Bunch.

Survivors include her children, Martha Reynolds of Bainbridge, Billy K. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Janie, of Bainbridge, Edward Reynolds and his wife, Tonya, of Bainbridge, and Anna Reynolds Payne and her husband, Andy, of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Olivia Reynolds, Charlton Reynolds, Grace Reynolds, Lilly Reynolds, Griffin Reynolds, Hudson Reynolds, Mary Mercer Reynolds, Will Payne and Henry Payne; her siblings, Cile Griffin Meagher of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Mercer Max Griffin of Bainbridge.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Knight Reynolds, Sr.; and her brother, Edward Glenn Griffin, Jr.
