Mr. Robert Maylon Nicholson, age 79, of Donalsonville, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Donalsonville Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Nicholson will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church in Donalsonville,  with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts, and Rev. Richard Trawick officiating.  Interment will follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Ralph Tucker, Andy Plant, Joe Ball, Darin Purvis, Greg Nicholson and Gabe Knowles serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 12 at the church.

Mr. Nicholson was born in Coffee County, Alabama on February 16, 1936 to Robert Forest Nicholson and Vela Bloodsworth Nicholson. He was a very active member of Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an Export Advertising Manager for Kelley Manufacturing Company and was a magazine editor for many years. He was also a former member of the Lions Club and an honorary member of the Young Farmers.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Parrish Nicholson of Donalsonville; a son, David Forest Nicholson of Tifton, Ga.; a daughter, Angelita Nicholson McFeeters and her husband Michael Charles McFeeters of Valdosta, Ga.; a brother, John V. Nicholson and his fiancé Pamela Robinson of Lake Seminole; his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Nicholson of Arab, Ala. and Twynette Nicholson of Mobile, Ala. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Forest Nicholson and Vela Bloodsworth Nicholson and his brothers, Charles Malloy Nicholson and Col. Roy Lomax Nicholson.
