Funeral services for Annette Chason Clark, 85, of Climax, are at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at El Bethel Baptist Church, Whigham.  Rev. Bob Knight will officiate.  Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Climax.  Mrs. Clark passed away at her home in Climax, on Sunday, May 10, 2015.

Active pallbearers will be Allen Hester, Douglas Chason, Neely Chason, Will Chason, Tyler Andrews and Dustin Cornog.

Mrs. Clark was born on January 20, 1930, in Blakely, Ga. to the late Neely Nix and Lucy White Nix.  On February 25, 1983, she married Colin C. Clark, who survives.  She was a loving, caring mother and grandparent.  She is a member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham.

Survivors include: husband, Colin C. Clark of Colquitt; children, Billy Chason of Bainbridge, Ben Chason and wife Diane of Climax,  Randy Chason and wife Linda of Climax, Kim Craig and husband Mike of Bainbridge, Patty Hester and husband Al of Climax, Robert Chason of Climax; grandchildren, Rayna Andrews and husband Robert of Climax,  Allen Hester of Climax, Brandie Singleton and husband Charles of Climax, Douglas Chason and wife Stephanie of Thomasville, Ga., Will Chason and wife Taylor of Climax, Neely Chason and wife Whitney of Bainbridge; great-grandchildren, Tyler Andrews, Olivia Andrews, Daniel Andrews, all of Climax, Benny Chason of Bainbridge, Caleb Chason of Thomasville, Kyleigh Chason of Climax, Joshua Hester, Maryann Hester, Nichole Hester, all of Climax; sister, Shirley Spires of Ocala, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: parents; her first husband and father of her children, Bill Chason; brothers, Tom Nix, Robert Nix, Smiley Ray Nix; and sisters, Ima Ferrell, Molly Bynam.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Clark’s memory to: Decatur County Humane Society, 1350 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
