Joyce Elizabeth “Beth” Clark

Funeral services for Joyce Elizabeth “Beth” Clark, 35, of Cairo, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Gordon Heights Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Al Sessions and Rev. Paul Medley will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo.  Mrs. Clark passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Freeman, Adam Clark, Jeremy Clark, Brian Golden, Rusty Ivie and Chris Nowell.

Mrs. Clark was born on May 7, 1979, in Tallahassee, Florida, to William C. “Billy” Poppell and Traci Joyce Ivie Poppell.  On Feb. 14, 2008, she married Jimmy Lewis Clark, who survives.  She was an administrative assistant with Monrovia Growers, Inc.  She was a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: husband, Jimmy Lewis Clark of Cairo;  daughters, Allie Clark, Ashlyn Clark, Kayla Clark, all of Cairo; parents, Billy and Traci Poppell of Bainbridge; brother, Chris Poppell of Bainbridge; grandmother, Joyce Lee of Havana, Fla.; mother-in-law, Elizabeth “Beth” Clark of Cairo; a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Milton and Beth Poppell, and Lellon Lee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Beth Clark’s memory to: Jimmy Clark’s Fund, c/o of Gordon Heights Baptist Church, 1351 5^th  Street SE, Cairo, GA 39828.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
