Shooting near BMS results in arrest

A shooting occurred this afternoon on Miluli Avenue near Bainbridge Middle School.
A resource officer at the school reported hearing five gunshots.
Upon investigation, he noticed a fight in progress.  According to Officer Chip Nix with Bainbridge Public Safety, approximately 50 people were participating in, or encouraging the altercation in the road near the Floyd tennis courts.  When officers arrived, the crowd dispersed.
One person was hit in the hand when Darrell Clemons, age 43, fired into the crowd. Clemons has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Reckless Conduct.
