Mildred Faulk Fleming, 95, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Mrs. Fleming was born October 10, 1919 in Pike County, Alabama, the daughter of William Hiram Faulk and Arrie Lee Shiver Faulk. Mildred was a graduate of Frostproof High School, Class of 1938. She owned Mildred Fleming School of Dance for 53 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Dance Educators of America.

Survivors include her children, John M. Fleming, Jr. and his wife, Carole, of Chula Vista, Calif. and William Lee Fleming and his wife, Shirley, of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, John M. Fleming, III and his wife, Tara, of Charlotte, NC, Brian Fleming of Edwards, Colorado, Bill Fleming, Jr., and his wife, Laura, of Columbus, Ga., Kristi Poole and her husband, Anthony, of Marietta, Ga.; and her great-grandchildren, Di Anna Machelle Fleming, Sarah Paige Fleming, Merissa Teel Fleming, Leif Greyson Fleming, Christopher Drake Fleming, Arden Ivey Fleming, and Charlotte Irene Poole. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moultrie Fleming; and sisters, Anne Faulk Shiver, and Vonziel Faulk Taylor.
