Hugh Dorsey Bailey

 Mr. Hugh Dorsey Bailey Jr., 67, of Miller and Seminole counties, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Gainesville, Fla. at the VA Hospital.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

He was born December 5, 1946 in Miller County, the son of Jewell Franklin Atkinson and Hugh Dorsey Bailey.

He served in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star.

He loved his family and he left behind his beloved wife, Janice Bailey and his children — sons, Michael Bailey and Casey Dollar; daughters — Dee Waddell and husband Greg, Shaie Bowen and husband Billy, Terri Lynn Anvar and husband Johnny, Nicole Kirkland and husband Wade, Kathy Chesnut and Michael and Keri Dee Dollar; grandchildren Bailey Parker, Drew Bailey Williams, Hunter Bailey, Ashley Waddell, Summer Kirkland, Perry Waddell, Ryan Adams, Madilyn Dollar, John Robert Dollar, Caroline Kirkland, Jewel Anvar, J.D. Kirkland, Christine Dollar, Lydia Dollar and Lyvv Dollar.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jewell Franklin Atkinson and his father Hugh Dorsey Gailey Sr. and a grandchild, Layla Emm Dollar.

He was cherished not only by his family, but by everyone who knew him.
