Mr. Emerson B. Weaver, age 75, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at his home in Brinson, Ga. Services for Mr. Weaver were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Grubbs, Rev. Mark Worsley, and Rev. Jim Weaver officiating. Jacob Smith, Toby Barnett, McCall Burney, Terry Ulmer, Alan Weaver, Garrett Weaver, Bobby Smith, and Jess Anderson served as pallbearers.
Interment followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Cox Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Emerson Bennie Weaver was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Climax, Ga., to Curtis Allison Weaver and Laura Moore Weaver. Emerson proudly served in the United States Air Force. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with Engelhard Mineral and Chemical Company.
Emerson was a loving father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were his world. He had a wonderful way of listening and dispensed great advice.
Emerson had quite the sense of humor and gave a nickname to everyone he met. He truly found joy in all aspects of his life. He was married for 52 years to Jo-Ann Anderson Weaver.  On August 31, 2011, Jo-Ann preceded Emerson in death, the family finds great comfort in knowing they are together once more. Emerson Weaver will be sorely missed by the family he loved so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jo-Ann; children, Ben Weaver and Tonya Weaver Sallas; and brother and sisters, Odell, Mildred, Evelyn, Willard, and William.
Emerson B. Weaver is survived by his daughter, Terri Schreeder and husband, Bob of Polk City, Fla.; grandchildren, Jo-Lynn Naumann, Nikki Fogarty, Brooke Patisaul, Laura Leigh Smith, Taylor Weaver, Jacob Smith, and Toby Barnett; great-grandchildren, Dawson Clark, Gary Patisaul, Paige Patisaul, Brayden Naumann, and Abbie Newberry; also, a son-in-law, Todd Sallas of Dothan, Alabama.
Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
