Our beloved mother was called home to be with her Lord. We mourn because we will miss her, but we celebrate who she was and how she touched all of our lives. Although we are sad to lose our dear mother, loved one, and friend, we are happy to know she is now with her Lord. (“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8.) All her pain, sickness, and discomfort are gone – she is in perfect peace and comfort and probably reminiscing with loved ones who are in heaven at this moment, looking down on us with love. (“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4). We will miss her terribly; she has been a great example of what true love is all about. She leaves an awesome legacy for her family. We love you Mom, and as she always said, “I love you more.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer H. Hill; her mother and father, Jesse and Edna Scott; brother, Jesse Scott, Jr.; sisters, Lorraine Dorminy, and Gloria Harrell. She is survived by two children: Buck Hill of Tallahassee,  and Kathy Roberts of Kennewick, Wash.; four beloved grandchildren: Jeff Hill of Republic, Pa., Wayne DuBois and Wendy Castilleja, both of Kennewick, Wash., and Sam Roberts of Seattle, Wash.; four step-grandchildren: Randy, Toby, Todd, and Tony Roberts, Portland, Or., Olympia, Richland, and Kennewick, respectively, and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
