Sarah Phillips Grimes Taylor, 94, of Sanford, Fla., passed away June 25, 2013. Funeral services were held at the Westview Baptist Church, in Sanford, on Saturday, June 29. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born May 29, 1919, in Early County, Ga., the daughter of the late Idus Oliver and Emma Mae (Scott) Phillips.

Sarah was predeceased by her first husband Roland Grimes in 1968, and her second husband Gilbert L. Taylor in 2005.

She is survived by her children John I. (Arlene) Grimes, Zella G. (Louis) Allman, and William R. (Gayle) Grimes. Mrs. Taylor is also survived by her brother John O. Phillips; three sisters Hazel Toole, Betty (Norman) Humphries, and Emma Wacaser, of Bainbridge; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Arrangements were entrusted to Gramkow Funeral Home & Crematory of Sanford.
