Published 5:50am Monday, April 22, 2013

The Bainbridge High School junior-varsity Bearcats baseball team finished their season Saturday, with a 10-0 win in six innings over the Godby (Fla.) Cougars.

The Bearcats got strong pitching efforts from starting pitcher Tyler Braswell and Stanton Long, who completed the game in relief.

Leading the offense were first baseman Seth Hall, who had two doubles and a single; and right fielder Anderson Bailey, who had a single, a double and a sacrifice fly.

Third baseman Nolan Haire reached base three times, and Dillon Casteel had a two-run single.

Casteel’s hit closed out the scoring and ended the game in the sixth on the mercy rule.
