Audrey “Jean” Clapperton Welch, 85, passed away at her home on April 15, 2013, in Havana, Fla.

Jean was born in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, on May 22, 1927.
Visitation with her family will be at her home, 28351 Blue Star Highway, Havana, on Friday April 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p. m. Service will be held in her hometown of Cobourg, at a later date.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Welch and Delbert Clapperton, and by her beloved son Rick.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Brenda Algate (Ron) of Toronto, Canada, Kelly Taylor (Lawson) of Attapulgus, daughter-in-law Janet Clapperton of Cobourg, Ontario, and stepdaughter Wendy Gray (Gary) of Warrenton, Va.

Grandma Jean will be missed by nine grandchildren: Tim, Jamie, Katie, Mallary, Andy, Jenny, Brent, Danielle, Matthew and three great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Soliman, Dr. Jagadeesh, The Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Big Bend Hospice and one special lady Miss Julie, for their support and love in her final days. Memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice or Robert F. Munroe Day School.
