Carrie Cox and Patricia Cox announce the engagement of Penny Lee Cox, of Bainbridge, to Richard Byrne, the son of Elisabeth and Thomas Byrne of Wexford, Ireland.

Miss Cox is the granddaughter of Annie Eunice Paige of Bainbridge. She is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended Ultimate Medical Academy, studying medical billing and coding.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Elizabeth and Richard Hurley and of Kathleen and Michael Byrne, all of Wexford.

He graduated in 1982 from Christian Brothers School and attended Saint Peters College, where he studied lab technology. He is employed by Carl Zeiss Optics.
The wedding is planned for April 21, at Mexico Beach, Fla. Invitations will be sent.
