The Walmart FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) will be coming to Bainbridge on Saturday, March 16, according to a BFL press release.

The league’s Bulldog division will hold its second tournament of the season on Lake Seminole, with up to 400 boaters and co-anglers participating for the top prizes of $8,000 (for boaters) and $3,000 (for co-anglers).

The tournament’s boats will set out from the Earle May Boat Basin.

The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, with 120 tournaments throughout the season — five in each division. The top 40 boaters and co-anglers from each division qualify for a regional tournament and are competing to finish in the top six, which then qualifies them for the Walmart BFL All-American tournament.

The 2013 All-American is being held June 27-29 on Nickajack Lake in Chattanooga, Tenn. The top winners in the BFL can move up to the EverStart Series or the Walmart FLW Tour.
