Roy R. Stancil Jr., 69, of Bainbridge, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Stancil was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Wake County, N. C., and lived for the last 30 years in Port Richey, Fla., before moving to Bainbridge in October 2012. He was a retired electrician.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Lee Stancil.

Survivors include his cousins and relatives: Brenda Blackman of Clinton, N.C., J.L. Coats of Willow Springs, N.C., J.B. Coats of Willow Springs, Audrey Dupree of Coats, N.C., Leonard Murray Coats of Zebulon, N.C., Carolyn Knight of Garner, N.C., Van Sherrill of Kernersville, N.C., Ann Wiggins of Angier, N.C., Thelma Jones of Dunn, N.C. and Ron and Angie of Ron’s Barbecue in Port Richey; his 13-year companion and caregiver, Marilyn Blocker; and his extended family: stepson Kevin Combs; stepgranddaughters, Victoria Ann Combs, and Briana McCall; Shannon McCall, Jessie and Glenn Keefer, Jo Pitman, Joan Chase, Samantha Hurst and Lori Gainey.

Independent Funeral Home of Quincy, Fla., was in charge.
