Mrs. Martha Gilbert Register White, 90, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in Perry, Fla. Services for Mrs. White will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tony Haire will be officiating. Interment will be in West Bainbridge Cemetery.

Martha Gilbert was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Lanier County, Ga., to Mr. and Mrs. William Gilbert. She worked as a seamstress for Jack Winter Apparel. Martha married Freddie L. Register. After his death, she married Charlie Ray White, who also preceded her in death. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Ray Lamas Register, and brothers, Eddie, Avery and L.F. Gilbert.

Survivors include her son, Troy L. Register and wife, Gaye C. Register of Perry; four grandchildren, Alma Pagels, Lamar Register, Karen Higgenbotham, and Garrett Register; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Higgenbotham and Derek Higgenbotham; and daughter-in-law, Nelda Register.
