Funeral services for James Hubert “Jimmy” Poitivent, 54, of Bainbridge, who died Feb. 7, 2013, at Archbold Medical Center, in Thomasville, Ga., were held Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Chapel of Cloud Funeral Home, in Cairo, Ga., with Rev. Dewitt Phillips officiating.

Interment was in West Bainbridge Cemetery, with Gary Brown, George Cloud, Ryan Griffin, Jesse Huckeba, Chris Moore and Joe West acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Poitivent was born Nov. 4, 1958, in Bainbridge, to Edward and Edna Kennedy. He attended Bainbridge High School and the Georgia Pines Decatur-Seminole Center.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a nephew, Zachary Kennedy.

Survivors include two brothers, Renay (Michelle) Kennedy of Slocomb, Ala. and Ed (Trish) Kennedy of Climax; one sister, Tammy (Chuck) Howell of Bainbridge and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cloud Funeral Home of Cairo was in charge of the services.
