Donna Kaye Gordon Goodman, 38, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., following an extended illness.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 6 p.m., at the Open Arms Ministries in Bainbridge, with Bro. C.O. Thompson officiating.

The family requests that all who attend please wear something in pink or red to help support the American Heart Association.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Blakely Cemetery,

Mrs. Goodman was born in Bainbridge on Nov. 29, 1974, to the late Robert Earl Gordon Sr. and Julie Ann Miller Gordon. She was a member of the Open Arms Ministries in Bainbridge. She was a registered nurse at the Whigham Nursing Home.

Mrs. Goodman attended the Frances Mary College in South Carolina, Bainbridge College and Albany’s Darton College to receive her RN degree.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Earl (Robbie) Gordon Jr.; and grandparents, R.C. and Laurine Miller.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie Ann Goodman and Macy Marie Goodman of Peachtree City, Ga.; one sister, Amanda Guthrie and husband Billy of South Carolina; two brothers, Brian Heard of N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Stacy Heard and wife Beth of Roanoke, Ala; grandmother, Pauline Gordon of Bainbridge; step-father Eldon Heard of Bishopville, S.C.; step-daughter Lindsy Tipton of South Carolina; one grandchild, Auria Sullivan of South Carolina; and a host of other relatives.
