The Bainbridge High School Lady Cats split two weekend basketball games, and picked up their second region win of the season.
On Friday, they downed the Harris County High School Lady Tigers 42-39 in a Region 1-AAAAA game in Hamilton. On Saturday, they lost 40-30 to the visiting Cairo High School Syrupmaids.
The Lady Cats were 5-12 overall and 2-4 in region play, heading into Tuesday’s Region 1-AAAAA game against the visiting Lee County High School Trojans.
They will host the Northside-Columbus High School Lady Patriots Friday and travel to Columbus for a Saturday region game against the Hardaway High School Lady Golden Hawks.
“We played really well in our road win over Harris County, but we had too many turnovers in our loss to Cairo,” Lady Cats coach Kelvin Cochran said. “We have got to play with more consistency night in and night out.”
The Lady Cats’ scoring chart was led by Tameria Levens both nights. She scored 14 against Harris County and 10 against Cairo.
