Callie Forehand Farrow, 85, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in San Diego, Calif.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brian Hatchett officiating, and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Farrow was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Barnesville, Ga., the daughter of Marcus Forehand and Blanche Elizabeth King Forehand. She was a graduate of Whigham High School and was a church secretary for Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Farrow was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Carl Farrow.
Survivors include her son Irvin C. Farrow Jr. and his wife, Rosario, of Poway, Calif.; her sisters, Henrietta Eubanks of Havana, Fla., Mary Poitevint of Faceville, Dorothy Turner of Tallahassee, Fla., Loette Buerger of Oklahoma, and Emily Hickey of Marion, Ill.; her brother, Hilton Gillespie of Albany, Ga.; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Gillespie of Columbus, Ga., Florence Gillespie of Attapulgus, and Sheila Edwards of Centerville, Ga.; her grandchildren, Jason Farrow and Callie Farrow; and three great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge.
