Bainbridge coach Kelvin Cochran talked about his team’s turnover problems after the game.

“We do a good job of dribbling out of a trap, then we throw the ball away,” Cochran said. “When we get out of a trap we have got to find an open player and get the ball to her.

“We are hustling and playing hard offensively and defensively, but the turnovers are stopping us from getting much done on either end of the court.”

Cochran said that guards Alex Carter and Beonka Madge, who he considers two of the team’s best ball handlers, are both out with injuries. He hopes Carter, who has a shoulder injury, could be back for the team’s upcoming games in the Thomasville High School Holiday Hoopfest.

The Lady Cats will participate in the Hoopfest from Thursday, Dec. 27, through Saturday, Dec. 29.

“The Hoopfest bracket has not been set yet but I know we play Brunswick High School in the first round,” Cochran said. “Brunswick has some key players returning, so it will be a challenge.”
