Johnson retires after 40 years of service

At the Decatur County Board of Education meeting last Thursday, Susan Johnson, the director of elementary curriculum for the Decatur County Schools, was recognized upon her retirement after 40 years of service. Board Chairman Dr. Sydney Cochran and County School Superintendent Dr. Fred Rayfield presented Johnson with a plaque and a flower bouquet. Johnson was also a student in the local school system, while her parents were teachers in Decatur County.
