County recognizes employees with at least 20 years of service

APPRECIATED FOR SERVICE: The Decatur County Board of Commissioners publicly recognized its employees with more than 20 years of service to the county, during Tuesday’s board meeting. The Decatur County Board of Commissioners publicly recognized its 21 county employees with more than 20 years of service with the county, thanking them for their hard work and dedication.

County Administrator Gary Breedlove read the names of those employees, along with their department and length of service. After all the names were read, the employees were given a round of applause.

“There’s about 500 years of county employee experience here,” Breedlove said. “We appreciate their efforts.”

The employees recognized by Breedlove were Michelle West, Sherry Ausgood, Martha Jones, Marfa Donaldson, Sue Morris, Gale Bowyer, Linn Harrell, Lunsford Haire, Earl Williams, Robert Wright, Gail Martin, Wayne Boyett, Robert Gazdy, Kenny King, Charlie McCann, Tony Nix, Eddie Polk, Guy Yates, Bobby Newton, Larry Battle and Donnie Wilkinson.
