BMS Bearcats split games

The Bainbridge Middle School eighth-grade Bearcats basketball team split two games this week, downing Miller County Middle School, 40-27 Monday in Colquitt, Ga., and falling to Pelham Middle School, 55-44, at BMS on Thursday.

Tyler Jackson led the Bearcats’ scoring effort against Miller County, with a game-high 24 points. He was followed by Milton Gayle with six, Dalvin Spivie with four and Eddie Cooper, Ladon Crankfield and Jeremy Freeman, all with two.

Gayle led the Bearcats in scoring against Pelham, with 19 points. He was followed by Spivie with seven, and Jackson and Freeman with five apiece.

This week’s two games concluded the 2012 portion of the eighth-grade Bearcats schedule.

They will return to action Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, when they take on the Thomas County Middle School eighth-grade Yellow Jackets on the road.
