Miss Hawkins and Mr. McMillan plan March wedding

ENGAGED: Kayla Danielle Hawkins and Douglas Ray McMillan

Chad and Rita Braswell of Bainbridge and Jay Hawkins of Donalsonville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Danielle Hawkins, to Douglas Ray McMillan, the son of Greg and Teresa McMillan of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Grace Thursby and the late Horace Thursby and of Dan and Cynthia Humphrey and Robert and Georgianne Hawkins.

Miss Hawkins is a 2007 graduate of Bainbridge High School, a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Psychology, and is pursuing a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education, from the University of West Florida.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of William and Frances Kelly and of Shirley McMillan and the late Phillip McMillan. He is a 2004 graduate of Bainbridge High School, holds a B.A. in History from Valdosta State University and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. He is employed by McMillan Law Firm, LLC, in Valdosta.

The wedding is planned for March 9, 2013, at 6 p.m. at High Grove Farm in Valdosta, Ga., where the reception will follow.
