The Bainbridge High School Lady Cats and Bearcats basketball teams took on the Early County High School Lady Bobcats and Bobcats in preseason scrimmages Tuesday in Blakely, Ga. The final scores of those scrimmages were not available by press time, but will be published in Saturday’s edition of The Post-Searchlight.

Coach Rickey McCullough’s Bearcats feature center Deion Thomas and forward Stephen Johnson. Other players, who will contribute later but are currently still competing with the Bearcats football team, are guard Justin Baker, forward Tim Shaw, forward Jamez Harris and guard B.J. Cheatem.

Among the players returning for coach Kelvin Cochran’s Lady Cats are guard Alex Carter and guard Karetha Kennedy.

The Bearcats and Lady Cats will open their regular season with back-to-back meetings with the Colquitt County High School Packers and Lady Packers.

The teams will meet Friday, Nov. 30, in Moultrie, Ga., and Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Bainbridge.
